This is an original mixed media painting that I've titled, On Solid Ground.  The base layer is watercolor paper. Forms of media used are acrylic paint, watercolor, fibers, gesso, white pen and prismacolor pencil. The painting has been mounted to a cradled wood panel with a .75 inch depth; it has been painted matte black. Overall size is 10x10 inches. This piece has hanging hardware attached and is ready to hang, or, it could easily accommodate an open back frame for a more striking presence on your wall. 
 
When I feel the need to hunker down and wait for a storm to pass, I spend time in nature; she lend me her power until I become aware of my own. Perhaps you can relate as well.
