This is an original mixed media painting titled 'Pieces of Me'. Because of their long, graceful necks, giraffes can see things that others cannot. They can examine where they've been, prepare for the future and feel confident in where they are currently standing.  
Giraffes help in understanding the phrase, 'to rise above' by asking us to believe that we can weather any storm, conquer any challenge. Take root and be grounded when contemplating your future; believe in your ability to overcome. Believe in yourself. Be Like Giraffe.
